Gait belts provide a secure way for the caregiver to support the patient during the transfer process. Using a gait belt can reduce back strain for the caregiver. Without the use of a gait belt, the caregiver is forced to hang on to the patient’s clothing or under the patient’s arms causing discomfort or potential injury to both the patient and caregiver.
The plastic buckle gait belt is available in two sizes with a quick-release three prong buckle. The 84” gait belt features a metal buckle.
