This leather provides abrasion resistance where you need it most. The Gunn cut of the gloves places the seam at the natural crease of your hand, below the two middle fingers, for a comfortable fit, while the winged thumb gives you extra flexibility. The elasticized wrist helps the gloves stay in place, while also keeping dirt and debris out.
